Spring Is In The Air!

The birds are singing, the sun is shining, and if you're a northerner, you're relieved to see the colour green sprouting up after seven long months hidden beneath a heavy duvet of white snow.

Spring is here!!

Aside from the weather, what does that mean?

Well for starters, it means a much needed dose of Vitamin D to boost our moods. For some of you it means tanning is now in session, and for the rest of us, it means our transformation into red lobsters is once more inevitable, no matter how much sunblock we arm ourselves with.

The arrival of spring might also mean a heavy dose of motivation. A second chance, if you will, at a new years resolution that was denied us while our convictions battled snow storms with oh so cozy pajamas and taking shelter indoors.

Either way, to this Bra Street Rambler, it has always felt much more like the beginning of the year than January 1st ever has. The rain comes in and washes the remnants of a desolate winter away, seemingly dead plants are reborn, the air smells fresh, and the combined chirping of birds and pitter patter of creatures both small and large shows us that new life is everywhere. In this season, the world is reborn, and along with it comes a world of new opportunities and possibilities.

Personally, I'm a fan of starting this new beginning with some spring cleaning. A chance at reinventing my surroundings by de-cluttering them and finding something new to surround myself with that makes me happy. This year, my indoor plant collection seems to be growing and boy do the fresh herbs make my apartment smell nice! (And for those of you Rambler's who have been with this blog since the beginning, you read that right! My black thumb has made huge strides!)

Yes, much like mother nature, I will refresh my surroundings. I shall take the time to refresh myself, and to refresh my goals and perspectives. Much like the animals born to this season, I shall test my legs at new endeavors and go on new adventures.

How will YOU take advantage of spring?

That's right, I'm looking at you Ramblers!
