Small Town Thanks Turned Global Shoutout

Alright Rambler's, This week, I was going to write about how our environments have the power to impact our mental health however, something just happened that absolutely blew my mind. I was reminded exactly why I love small town life so very much. The people. In my small home town, where I have just this weekend past returned to, there lives a group of astounding young citizens who have shown their true colours. Tonight with sore backs and pain aplenty, my mother and I pulled up to my new place with an SUV full of my stuff. Walking down the street about two hundred feet away from us were half a dozen pre-teens returning from their camping site.  While I was upstairs unlocking my apartment, my mother asked them for help. Folks, to say they stopped and helped would be  a massive understatement, and a grave disservice to these incredible individuals. They were beyond enthusiastic in their help, eagerly grabbing load after load to carry up three flights of stairs for me....

Making a Difference

What is your goal in life? What is the mark you wish to leave behind on the world? If you're like me, you often find yourself just drifting, not quite where you want to be but trying to make the most of it. Perhaps you wish to take an environmental approach. Maybe you want to lift people up, inspire confidence. It could be that you want to make a difference in the lives of those who have very little. Whether it's eliminating plastic in your household, creating a program that allows indiv...

Story Time on Bra Street: The Evil Amazonian Ants

Gather round ramblers, as I tell you the tale of the Evil Amazonian Ants. A few years ago, I traveled to the Amazon jungles of Peru. Naturally, friends and family cautioned me about all of the many things that may try to kill me during my unconventional vacation destination. But, this Rambler loves adventure, so piranhas, electric eels, jaguars, giant tarantulas, and anacondas be damned! But of all the horrifying plants and creatures that I could have, and sometimes did encounter, none was more ferocious, more evil, more traumatizing, that the ants! There are two types of little ants that, while briefly warned about by the man who owned the company I traveled with, posed a greater risk that I should have taken more seriously. The first of these ants, was the fearsome Tamaranga ant! You see, when I visited the Amazon, it had just been hit by not one, but two horrible floods. I had even been asked if I wanted to postpone my trip because of it. Did I? Pffft. Absol...
